Course Overview

You’ll gain a clear understanding of what Yoga truly is—beyond the poses—and experience its profound transformative power. Rooted in the Patanjali Yoga Sutras and following the traditional Hatha Yoga training approach, our 100-hour course places a strong emphasis on meditation. Over 14 hours are dedicated specifically to meditation practices—blending guided sessions, theory, and tutorials to help you cultivate stillness and clarity both on and off the mat.
Inspired by our experience at Kaivalyadhama, the world’s first Yoga institute to conduct scientific research over a century ago, we integrate ancient wisdom with modern understanding. Our teachings are supported by academic Yoga research articles, offering a thoughtful and evidence-based approach to authentic Yoga teacher training in Bali.

Asana Lab
More than half of our 100-hour Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training in Bali is dedicated to hands-on practical and tutorial sessions—an essential part of what makes this an authentic yoga teacher training in Bali.
Our tutorial classes, known as the Asana Lab and Meditation Lab, combine clear theoretical explanation with immediate practice. In these sessions, you’ll learn how to perform each posture or meditation technique correctly, including proper alignment, modifications, contraindications, and benefits. With hands-on adjustments and real-time feedback from your instructor, these sessions reflect the depth of traditional Hatha yoga training in Bali, where precision and awareness go hand in hand.
Practical classes are devoted purely to experience—no note-taking required. You’ll flow through asanas, explore your breath, and deepen your connection to body and mind through guided practice.
You’ll also engage in pranayama (breathing techniques) and shuddhi kriyas (cleansing practices) each morning, as part of your daily Hatha Yoga teacher training in Bali. The theoretical foundations of these practices are explored separately through classical Hatha Yoga texts, allowing you to understand not only how to practise, but why.
This thoughtful combination of theory, technique, and direct experience defines SKY Yoga & Meditation’s 100-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud—a nurturing step into the heart of authentic Yoga study and practice.
Theory classes
Our classes are very well structured and are designed to provide knowledge in a very clear and formatted manner to help you digest the workload.
For example, each theory class is split into 3 components, a comprehensive lecture, an active tutorial activity and dedicated Q&A time to clarify any doubts. Every lectures will be provided to you in your printed manual as well as in a digital format on WhatsApp at the end of each day.

Our Magical Jungle Eco Village
Welcome to a place like no other—an oasis where Yoga, meditation, and nature exist in perfect harmony.
Nestled in the traditional Balinese village of Pejeng, on the serene outskirts of Ubud, our eco-village is a true sanctuary for those seeking an authentic yoga teacher training in Bali or simply a soulful retreat in nature. Spanning two hectares of lush jungle, this sacred land is home to an aquaponic garden, an organic fruit and vegetable farm, a walking meditation maze, two Yoga shalas, and our signature sound and meditation dome—a highlight for anyone interested in sound healing courses in Ubud.
The heart of our space is blessed by its founder, Ludwig, who lived for over a decade with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the visionary behind Transcendental Meditation. His legacy infuses the eco-village with a deep meditative energy, making it an inspiring environment for traditional Hatha Yoga training in Bali and immersive Yoga & Meditation experiences.
Our spacious Yoga shala hosts all asana classes for our Hatha Yoga Teacher Trainings in Bali, while a smaller shala provides a peaceful space for theory and philosophy sessions. The sound and meditation dome serves as a sacred hub for mantra chanting, pranayama, and meditation practices that nurture both body and spirit.
We also take pride in nourishing our students with wholesome, freshly prepared vegetarian meals (with vegan options available). From a 6:15 am detox ginger tea to hearty, organic dishes made with rice grown in nearby fields and vegetables from our own gardens, every meal supports your inner and outer wellbeing.
Whether you’re joining us for a 5-day Yoga & Meditation immersion, a 200-hour or 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, or a Sound Healing course in Ubud, our eco-village provides the perfect environment to reconnect, learn, and grow—surrounded by the beauty and spirit of Bali’s jungle.

Following 20 years of travelling the world and living between England, India and Australia, Simon shifted his Yoga skills from his French national championship gymnast background to a deeper focus on traditional knowledge, incorporating the mental and spiritual benefits of Yoga into its physical practices. After earning a high distinction in his Bachelor of Psychology, he went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Education (1 year full time) at the prestigious Kaivalyadhama College in India where he ranked second out of 58 students. He is currently finishing his Master’s degree in Yoga and Naturopathy with the aim of pursuing a PhD in Yogic Science. Simon previously completed a range of Yoga Teacher Trainings in Nepal and India as well as a 1 year Diploma in Energy Healing in Australia. He has been teaching yoga classes and workshops daily for eight years in London and Sydney, sometimes to more than 150 students a week. Although he enjoys teaching classic asana classes, he likes to specialise in pranayama and deep meditation courses. Passionate about sharing authentic and traditional yogic knowledge, he founded the SKY (Yoga & Meditation) training center to inspire worldwide students to understand what Yoga really means.
