SKY (Yoga & Meditation) was born with a mission to bring traditional Hatha Yoga trainings from India to Bali.
Our 200h Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training focuses on providing the most authentic knowledge that Yoga has to offer while getting you ready to teach modern Yoga classes anywhere in the world.
Course Overview
This course is a fine balance between enough theory classes for you to understand what Yoga is, enough practical classes for you to feel the transformative power of Yoga and enough tutorial classes for you to be able to teach it. It is not an easy task, but we strongly believe that we have nailed that.
Although the Pantajali Yoga Sutras are the base to all our trainings, our 200h syllabus is designed around the Hatha Yoga tradition with added meditation classes and therefor your certificate will say ‘200h Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training’ (it is widely understood in the authentic Yoga world that practical Yoga is Hatha Yoga). The meditation component is an important part of the course and with 27h in total, this is the most meditation time you find in any YTT course in Bali.
Our classes are very well structured and are designed to provide knowledge in a very clear and formatted manner in an effort to ensure that you will understand and remember it. For example, each theory class compromise of a lecture, an active tutorial activity and dedicated Q&A time to clarify any doubts. Every lecture will be provided to you in your printed manual as well as in a digital format on WhatsApp at the end of each day.
We also have some complimentary (although optional) relaxing evening activities (sound healing, yoga nidra, etc) and two Sundays excusions are also included so that you dont have to do any planning at all whatsoever during those 3.5 weeks with us. Our trainings are 100% all inclusive and literally Everything is included in the room price. Lastly, we believe that small groups makes it for more effective education so we only take between 5 and 15 people per training.

Practical and Tutorial classes
More than half of your course consists of practical and active tutorials classes so it is an crucial part of your learning experience here.
The tutorial classes (asana lab and meditation lab) are essentially a mix of theory and practice at the same time. For example, you will learn the right way to perform a specific posture, some modifications, contraindications, benefits, etc and then you will practice it straight away with corrections from your teacher. This is when you can ask all your practical questions.
The practical classes are pure practice, you can pack your notepad away for those.
For pranayama (breathing) and shuddi kriyas (cleansing practices), our daily morning practice is pure practice and the theory is explained while studying the Hatha Yoga texts.

Our Magical Jungle Eco Village
This is a place like no others.
Situated in the traditional Balinese village of Pejeng, on the edge of Ubud, we are blessed to be in a one-of-a-kind eco village in the middle of the jungle. The two hectares of this spiritual land boasts a large aquaponic garden, a walking meditation maze, organic fruit and vegetable gardens, an Ayuverda centre and a vegetarian restaurant.
The main villa where the training is taking place has a stunning 11 metres swimming pool, an open kitchen, a Yoga shala, a Yoga library and plenty of chill out areas (as a matter of fact we have 5 separate ‘rest and digest’ areas in the villa, including a floating net bed in the jungle!). The villa facilities are to be shared between all of you but each bedroom has its own designated bathroom.
The restaurant serves delicious vegetarian food (vegan on request) for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as herbal teas throughout the day (starting with our 6am detox ginger tea ;). We also bake our own bread, make our own yogurts and flavourful tropical fruits jams.

Meet your teachers
We have selected very knowledgeable and super enthusiastic teachers from around the world to teach, support and nourish you in your 24 days journey with us. There is a lot to learn and discover in a 200h training and we believe that empathic and supportive teachers are the key to a successful course.

Following years of travelling the world and living between England, India and Australia, Simon shifted his yoga skills from his French national championship gymnast background to a deeper focus on traditional knowledge, incorporating the mental and spiritual benefits of Yoga into its physical practices. After earning a high distinction in his Bachelor of Psychology, he went on to complete a P.G. Diploma in Yoga Education (1 year full time) at the prestigious Kaivalyadham College in India where he ranked second out of 58 students. He is currently finishing his Master’s degree in Yoga and Naturopathy with the aim of pursuing a PhD in Yogic Science. Simon previously completed a range of Yoga Teacher Trainings in Nepal and India as well as a 1 year Diploma in Energy Healing in Australia. He has been teaching yoga classes and workshops daily for eight years in London and Sydney, sometimes to more than 150 students a week. Although he enjoys teaching classic asana classes, he likes to specialise in pranayama and deep meditation courses. Passionate about sharing authentic and traditional yogic knowledge, he founded the SKY (Yoga & Meditation) training center to inspire worldwide students to understand what Yoga really means.
Originally from Brazil, Marcela has spent most of the last 15 years teaching Yoga between Thailand and Bali. Following her Masters in Business Economics and Management of Sustainability, she worked for the United Nations before turning to Yoga teaching full time. Passionate about 5 Elements Yoga Therapy, she is a certified E-RYT500 teacher and a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) and has facilitated over 20 Yoga Teacher Trainings for both 200h and 300h courses. Marcela believes that yoga unlocks the potential inside each one of us and opens the path to a very profound knowledge of who we really are. She found her own self-transformation through Yoga and meditation, which is why today she dedicates her life to this cause by sharing this powerful practice, supporting others on their unique journeys and being there for them in their transformation.
